The e-Jobs Observatory participated in the 2013 eco-Kongress

The 6th eco Kongress took place on 17 April in Cologne. Representatives, mainly, from the German industry were present and discussed about issues related to IT skills shortages, Crowdsourcing, Big Data, M2M Communication and further internet and IT -related topics in the various conference sessions.

The e-Jobs Observatory participated in the Podium discussion "IT skills shortages - made in Europe" that launched the eco Kongress. The panel was composed of representatives from JobCrowd, DE-CIX Management, Siemens and Kalaydo. 

During the Podium discussion issues surrounding social recruiting, headhunters, IT skills shortages in Germany and in Europe, attractiveness of Germany as an IT job-supplier and assimilation/integration courses for foreign employees were discussed. 

The need to increase the European competitiveness by filling in current IT job vacancies was highlighted.
